Toronto turns us on for many reasons, from spontaneous acts of kindness to flash mobs, from arts and culture to local food, and from neighbourhood pride to community building – this video blog shares them all.
The little community that could
The East Scarborough Storefront has made significant investments in their neighbourhood, however the area lacked a place for youth to come together and play. With input from its youth design progam and generous funding frm its partners, The Storefront was able to convert their parking lot into a multi-sport pad and even included a innovative green space, the Sky-o-Swale.
The court, will give over 300 youth in the East Scarborough area the opportunity to play soccer, basketball and, hockey in a safe space.
