During this walk, the community residents gave a peek of Kingston-Galloway/Orton Park’s (KGO) assets and how they would like to maximize them for innovative purposes. They also highlighted some of the community projects that have everyone talking in the City of Toronto. Because this was a walk discussing some of the community projects that many of the local residents have and are putting their time and effort into, it is only fair that we heard about the projects directly from them. Each stop had a local resident who has been or is involved in the project.
The Healthy Living Arts program, designed and delivered by residents for residents, helps families to learn about health and healthy communities while at the same time teaching children and youth to spread the word through art. They are celebrating their fifth anniversary with an amazing celebration and exhibition.
We encourage you to attend this inspiring event, and hope to see you there!
